Description: Dataset is a derivative from LiDAR data captured, processed and prepared by a third-party vendor. The LiDAR is classified and processed using computerized algorithms that detect the perimeters of all buildings within the City of Airdrie municipal boundary. The building height, ground elevation and rooftop elevation are calculated from the LiDAR data. City of Airdrie GIS staff has further enhanced the dataset by intersecting the footprint boundaries with other points of interest datasets for labelling and classifying purposes.New footprints are sometimes added by digitizing the features from the latest Orthophotocollection.*1452 Additional Footprints were digitized by hand in February-March 2021 using the 2020 Orthophoto Imagery. These can be identified by their Building ID, which has been set to -2020.
